Playing Super Metroid to tide me over a bit, just finished Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission.
The wait sucks, hope it isn't suddenly pushed out longer like all other games seem to be doing :)

God, Zero Mission (remake) was so awesome. Fusion was win aswell.

Just a week from today, and for those who are counting every hour, just under a week! I really hope I can get through this week without thinking about SC too much because the more I think about it, the more I want it (which is good) and the more I realize I can't have it yet (not good).

iPhone games and movies are the only thing tiding me over until I can play, but then afterward I'll have quite a bit to do between this and the new Batman game/Prof Layton game.

Buy a 2100 points card. Save 1200 for Shadow Complex, spend 800 on Splosion Man. That game will tide you over for the next four days. SO FUN. Hardcore mode will take some beating too.

And co-op is just AWESOME in that game. Much much harder but way more rewarding.

Yup, done that already. Absolutely loved that game, but I don't think my sanity would hold if I attempted it on hardcore. Some of those levels were plenty challenging enough on normal.

It's all about remembering the level, it's not that hard at all. I did level 1 (all 16 parts) so quickly. The only hard parts are the bits with the flying Sentinels. You will hate them forever in Hardcore.

Exactly, the flying sentinels were the only thing that hampered my enjoyment. Maybe I'll give it a shot later this weekend, but for now it's going to be the 3+ hour directors cut of Watchmen and streaming buttloads of Voltron through Netflix. Voltron was rad back in the 80's.

To tide yourselves over might try The Angry Video Game Nerd reviews of old games from the NES, Atari and more for a laugh. Unless you can't take lots of swearing ;)

Angry Video Game Nerd does a pretty hilarious Bugs Bunny game review....He does 2 of them, the first one is way better though. His Castlevania 2 is pretty funny too...

I first heard about Shadow Complex at E3.

I didn't pay any attention to it until I heard that it was being developed by Chair Entertainment, of which several employees developed Advent Rising, one of my favorite games of all time.

When I looked into Shadow Complex I kept finding things I liked. I liked the Metroid/Castlevania/Metal Gear Solid style gameplay. I liked the story. I especially liked that the story was based on the work of Orson Scott Card (Ender's Game was a beast).

Wednesday can't come fast enough.

Completed Super Metroid, Metroid Zero Mission. I may have to pop out Metroid Fusion soon. Now when I look at videos of Shadow Complex I can really see the similarities, all those walkthrough; all those IGN video specials; they remind me of the greatest game series ever (Metroid, 2D)
