Will i like this game?

hey guys! i am new to this forum but i am a veteran of the EPIC forums.

my question is will i like shadow complex.

I AM A HUGE FAN OF EPIC GAMES, EVER SINCE UNREAL TOURNEMENT 2004. But this is just a new path for EPIC.

i like CoD,halo,GoW,and Red Faction. the only sideway scrolling game i have played was those orignal arcade games back in the 80s and aegis wing which is like a rip off of that arcade game.

i am downloading the demo now as we speak but due to my suckish connection it is taking a buttload of time.

if you need anymore info to determine if i would like it or not please ask away.

altho the amount of hype has been huge in the past couple of days (deservedly, imo), i just cant help but feel some gamers will just buy it based on that, even if they would probably hate side scrolling games like metroid/castlevania.

bottom line, try the trial.

the only thing similar to it on XBLA, is castlevania SOTN. But the trial game for that is terrible, its just the first boss fight, there is no exploring or anything like that.

But i still think you will like it, there are very few games like it and for the price its a steal

it's pretty hard not to like this game. It had a well thought out game design and that is proven one you begin playing. i really am fighting the urge to put the controller down. the controls are simple to meaning anyone can pick up and play.

If you've ever played and enjoyed Bioshock, Castlevania, or Metroid, then I can assure you that you'll like Shadow Complex. One thing these games all have in common is that they require a lot of exploring, puzzle solving, and sometimes backtracking, with tons of gunplay and action thrown in the mix. If you haven't played any of those games, basically all I can say is that if you like to explore, falcon punch guys, and shoot guns then you'll like Shadow Complex. It's an excellent game in my opinion, and just surpassed Castle Crashers on my personal list of XBLA Faves, for the No.1 spot.
