I just killed the chopper but now I'm stuck on the jump in the forest. It seems too far but I've read that I just need a running start but its not working at all (even with X). Any help?

If you can't make the jump, just find another way through. Sometimes you need the friction dampener or the jet pack to make it over a larger jump.

Really stuck for the first time. Spoilers below so please be careful if your not up to this part.

Just after getting the missiles and I'm just about to rescue the girl and am being attacked by two armored dudes, one coming from each side of the gantry. I cannot get past this spot - they keep pushing me towards each other and one-hit killing me with a punch. This is really pissing me off as it is a huge difficulty spike after what was a relatively well-paced and enjoyable game.

Anyone able to help me out here?

concentrate on the one furthest away from the girl. Just keep jumping over him and hitting him either with missiles or grenades. Once he's done, you can work on the other.

Managed to get past them and am at the Walker part now. Couldn't jump over but what I did to get through was to crouch, aim at the one on the left and unload all of my missiles at him. Followed it up with headshots which killed him off pretty quick. Once there was only one it became very easy.

foam cover would have been nice to one side and definitly crouch. missiles do the job...they're pushing the enemy far...
